Email for Muse

Fluxmail Cloud connects Muse, Meta's personal AI agent, to your Gmail, Outlook, and IMAP mailboxes as a custom connector. Muse can search, read, draft, and send email, limited to the mailboxes and permissions you approve.

What you can do

Catch up after time away

Ask Muse what arrived while you were out and which threads are still waiting on you.

Search more than one mailbox

Approve a work Outlook account and a personal Gmail account in the same connection, then ask for a message without saying where it is.

Draft replies in your mailbox

Muse saves replies as drafts in your mailbox, where you can edit and send them yourself.

Connect Muse to your email

  1. 1. Create a Fluxmail Cloud account and connect a mailbox

Sign up and choose a plan. Your first subscription starts with a 7-day free trial. Then open Mailboxes in the dashboard and connect Gmail or Outlook, or enter your IMAP settings. The Cloud quickstart and mailbox guide cover each step.

  2. 2. Add Fluxmail to Muse

Muse creates custom connectors when you ask in chat. Send this message in the Muse app:

Create a custom connector for Fluxmail Cloud using this MCP server: https://cloud.fluxmail.ai/mcp
Use Streamable HTTP and OAuth 2.1 with PKCE.
    Use dynamic client registration (DCR) and request mail.read mail.drafts mail.organize mail.trash mail.send offline_access.
Guide me through signing in to Fluxmail and approving mailbox access.
  3. 3. Sign in and approve access

Muse opens Fluxmail in your browser. Choose your Fluxmail workspace and the mailboxes Muse can use. Every permission starts checked, including Send emails. Uncheck any you don't want, then approve.

Muse can only reach a public server, so it can't use Fluxmail running on your computer.

These steps are for the Muse app. Muse Code uses its own CLI configuration.

To remove Fluxmail, disconnect it under Settings > Connectors in Muse, then revoke the connection under Connections in the Cloud dashboard.

See Permissions for what each permission allows, and the Muse MCP docs for client settings.

Find what needs a reply

This prompt only reads mail. Try it with a mailbox you approved:

Using Fluxmail, look at my inbox from the last two days and list the messages that still need a reply from me, with the sender and subject. Do not draft, send, or change anything.

Check the result

Check the list against your inbox. Each message should be a real one from a mailbox you approved, and nothing in the mailbox should change. If nothing needs a reply, Muse should say so.

To change permissions or mailboxes later, connect again and approve the new access, then revoke the old connection under Connections in the Cloud dashboard.

Give an AI agent email access safely

If the connection does not work

  • Open Settings > Connectors in Muse and check that Fluxmail is connected. If it is missing, expired, or sign-in failed, send the message from step 2 to Muse again.
  • If Fluxmail connects but no mailbox appears, ask for the result of the get_connection_status tool. It lists the connection's mailboxes and permissions, and whether your plan is active.
  • Each approval lasts up to 90 days. After that, or if sign-in fails, connect again.

Common questions

Can Muse send email through Fluxmail?
Yes. Send emails is checked when you approve the connection. Uncheck it to stop Muse from sending. For draft-only access, also uncheck Organize emails and Move to/from Trash. Muse also asks for your approval before sending unless you change that in its settings.
Does Meta review the Fluxmail connector?
No. Meta does not review custom connectors. Muse can use only the mailboxes and permissions you approve when you sign in to Fluxmail.
What does Fluxmail Cloud cost?
Pro is $15 a month or $120 a year for up to 10 mailboxes. Business is $25 per member a month or $240 per member a year, with up to 20 mailboxes per member. Your first subscription starts with a 7-day free trial.
