How are Cloud and self-hosted plans different?

Self-hosted plans license the Fluxmail package you run on your own machine or server. With a Cloud plan you pay for the hosted service, so there's nothing to install or run. They're billed separately, and a self-hosted license doesn't apply to Cloud.

What counts as a mailbox or a member?

A mailbox is one connected Gmail, Outlook, Exchange, or IMAP account. A member is a person with their own login on your Fluxmail instance. Members connect their own mailboxes and can share them with others on Business and Enterprise plans.

How do Business member limits work?

Business includes 20 mailbox connections per member. The total limit applies to the instance: a plan for 2 members allows up to 40 mailboxes even if only one person uses it. Choose your member limit at checkout, and change it later in Manage subscription.

I'm one person and I want more than 10 mailboxes. Which plan should I get?

Choose Business. Each member on your plan adds 20 mailboxes to your instance's limit. You can choose more than one member at checkout, even if you're the only person connecting mailboxes.

How do I activate a paid plan?

Buy Pro or Business on this page. Stripe returns you to Fluxmail after payment and shows your license key once. Run fluxmail license activate on your instance and paste the key when prompted.

Can I use one license on more than one instance?

No. A license activates one instance. To move it, deactivate it on the old instance first with fluxmail license deactivate.

How do I change plans or cancel?

Use Manage subscription to change plans or your member limit, update your card, view invoices, or cancel. Cancellations and member limit reductions take effect at the end of the billing period.

What happens if I go over my plan limits?

This can happen after you lower your member limit, switch to a smaller plan, or your subscription ends and the instance returns to Personal limits of 1 member and 3 mailboxes.

Fluxmail warns you first and gives you 7 days to remove the extra mailboxes or members, or to upgrade. After that, functionality like reading and sending emails may be limited until you are within your plan's usage. Fluxmail never deletes mailboxes or data.

How does the free trial work?

Your workspace's first Cloud subscription starts with a 7-day trial on Pro or Business, billed monthly or annually. Checkout collects payment details, and Stripe charges for the plan when the trial ends unless you cancel. A workspace that has already had a subscription doesn't get another trial.

How do I change plans or cancel?

Open Billing in the Cloud dashboard. Pick the other plan or a different member count, and Stripe shows the charges before you confirm. Use Manage billing there to update your card, view invoices, or cancel. Only the workspace owner can change billing.

What happens if I go over my plan limits?

Accepted Answer

Cloud won't connect a mailbox beyond your plan's limit. If you switch to a smaller plan or buy fewer members, the mailboxes you connected first keep access, up to the new limit.

If a payment fails, access continues for 7 days. After that, agents can't reach your mail until billing is fixed, but you can still sign in to the dashboard. Cloud removes stored mailbox credentials 30 days after access is suspended. Your mail stays with your provider.

Does Cloud charge for usage?

No. Cloud has no monthly usage allowances or overage charges. API calls and new send attempts have hourly limits.
