Fluxmail runs in your browser, but you can install it as a Progressive Web App (PWA) for an app icon and a standalone window. It works the same on a laptop, tablet, or phone.
Install on your device
The quickest way is from inside Fluxmail: once you're signed in, open the profile menu in the bottom-left corner and choose Install Fluxmail.
You can also install straight from your browser:
- Desktop (Chrome/Edge): click the install icon in the address bar, or open the browser menu and choose Install Fluxmail.
- iPhone/iPad (Safari): tap Share, then Add to Home Screen.
- Android (Chrome): open the menu and choose Install app or Add to Home Screen.
The installed app updates on its own, so you stay on the latest version.
Why install it
Installed, Fluxmail behaves like a native app. It opens in its own window without the browser's tabs and address bar, launches from your dock, taskbar, or home screen, and appears in your app switcher alongside everything else. Because Fluxmail is offline-first, your recent mail is cached on the device, so it keeps loading and stays usable even when your connection drops.
Installing also lets Fluxmail send push notifications for new priority mail and task reminders, so the messages that matter reach you without keeping a tab open. Allow notifications the first time your browser asks, or turn them on later in your device's notification settings.
Uninstall
Removing the app is just as quick. On desktop, open the app menu and choose Uninstall Fluxmail; on a phone or tablet, remove the icon from your home screen like any other app. Uninstalling only clears the installed shortcut and local cache — your mail and your account are untouched, and you can keep using Fluxmail in any browser.
